Custom Alterations Are Personal
Tailoring is not a factory product. It is a custom service made for your body, your comfort, your event, and your style. Because of that, every alteration is unique, even when two garments look similar on the hanger.
Final Fitting and Approval at Pickup
Your final fitting or pickup is the moment we confirm everything together. You will try on the garment, check the fit, and look it over closely before leaving.
Once the garment is tried on, inspected, approved, and removed from our shop, the alteration work is considered accepted and complete. This protects you and it protects the integrity of custom work.
If you choose not to try on a garment at pickup, the work is still considered complete once the item leaves the premises. If you are on a tight schedule, we strongly recommend trying it on anyway.
Time Window for Concerns
If something feels off, contact us right away. The best time to fix a fit issue is immediately, while the garment is still in the same condition as when it left the shop.
Concerns must be raised at the final fitting or within 24 hours of pickup. After that, we cannot verify wear, handling, changes in body measurements, or how the garment was stored or used.
Rework and Adjustments
If we agree that something needs a small adjustment based on the approved fitting, we will discuss the best solution and schedule. Rework decisions are made case by case and depend on timing, garment condition, and the type of alteration.
Additional alterations requested after final approval, changes due to weight change, event changes, or new preferences may require a new fitting and additional charges.
Third Party Opinions and Outside Evaluations
We respect other professionals, but tailoring methods vary by shop, garment construction, fabric type, and the client’s goals. For that reason, third party opinions obtained after completion do not change final approval, and do not qualify a garment for a refund.
If another shop works on the garment after pickup, we may be unable to evaluate what was done or altered, and we cannot accept responsibility for changes made outside our shop.
Refunds
Because alterations are custom services performed to individual measurements and preferences, we do not offer refunds for completed and approved work. This includes services that were tried on and accepted at the final fitting or pickup.
If you have a concern, contact us within the timeframe listed above so we can review it promptly and fairly.
Pricing and Turnaround
Pricing depends on garment type, fabric, construction, and the work requested. Turnaround times vary by season and workload. For the most accurate estimate, schedule an appointment so we can assess your garment in person.
