I have my new knitting student from last week today at the foundry.

I showed them the basic knitting stitches at our first meeting.

Casting on, the knit and purl stitch.

So today we started making the cell phone knitting bag.

Attached is the pattern.

Knit a cell phone bag

Skill level: Beginner

Stitches:

K – knit

P – purl

CO – cast

Materials:

Yarn – worsted yarn

Knitting needles – size 7

Tapestry needle

Instructions:

1. Cast on 32 stitches.

2. K2, P2 repeat to end of stitch. Do the same stitches until it measures 1 inch.

3. Knit on the right side.

4. Purl on the left side.

5. Continue until bag measures 6 inches.

6. Bind off stitches.

7. With a tapestry needle sew side seam first then bottom seam.
